The Difference in the Way We Do Things |
|
Our goal is simple: Good products that are easy to use in the field.
As a developer and manufacturer of cable management products, we have an intense focus on the contractors’ needs for both products and information. We want to exceed our customers’ expectations by using all of our technical expertise in this one key area – to develop and produce what our customers need to get the job done right.
We count on feedback from our contractors. The people who install our products in the field are the most important part of our R&D department. The installers are the ones who really know what can be done to improve a product, what kind of tech support is needed, or what new widget should be designed and built. We want to know what works and what doesn’t, what adds value and what doesn’t. This ongoing dialogue is the foundation for our product development and our company. |

J-Tray Cable Pans |
|
J-TrayTM Cable Pans provide a smooth continuous surface for cables to lie on. The 0.118-inch thick ABS material fits inside both the 100 series and the 200 series J-TrayTM Systems. Cable Pans can be nested in the J-TrayTM to be held in place by the weight of the cable. Pans can also be secured in place by drilling a 1/4-inch hole and inserting a cable tie (included) through the pan and around a cross wire.

Double Decker Cable Separation
In some applications, cable separation becomes a critical issue. If the specification calls out a means of separating the fiber optic cable from the copper, now J-Tray™ creates a simple solution: Double Decker. By mounting a 2” x 2” 100 Series J-Tray™ within the cable space of a 4” x 6” 100 Series cable tray, two distinct cable spaces are created. Place the Universal Fastening Aperture of one tray over the other, then anchor to the wall with an appropriate fastener.

Back to Back Bracket
The J-Tray System™ (patent pending) Back-to-Back Bracket gives you the option to install the 100 Series J-Tray from a threaded rod.
Mounting one J-Tray with the Back-to-Back Bracket allows the installer greater versatility by using the wall mount J-Tray in a hanging application. This simplifies those jobs where most cables are run along the wall but some cables must be mounted across an open space.
Mounting two J-Trays in a back-to-back position doubles cable capacity and provides a stable, continuous cable bearing surface for those jobs requiring cable separation or larger numbers of cables in an open ceiling environment.

J-Tray Raised Access Floor Mount |
|
J-Tray’s Universal Fastening Aperture makes mounting J-TrayTM under a raised access floor quick and simple. With a Pedestal Hardware Kit J-TrayTM clamps to the raised floor pedestal, creating a dual, high capacity cable path. No modifications are required and will work with all floor types. The modular J-TrayTM System is available in both 4-foot lengths and 8-foot lengths. For retrofit into an existing raised floor, the 4-foot J-TrayTM can be easily maneuvered into place by lifting only one 24-inch floor section.

J-Tray Packaging |
|
The J-TrayTM System is designed in contractor friendly lengths: 4 feet and 8 feet long. Shipping and storage on site are easier and more cost effective than the three meter lengths of wire basket tray.
The J-TrayTM System uses a crate system for packaging. By using a custom designed crate, J-TrayTM gains maximum utilization of cubic feet in a trailer or in a storage space. For larger quantities, the crates can be stacked two high for additional utilization of space.
Crate dimensions: 40 in. w x 35 in. H x 98 in. L; approximate tare weight: 100 pounds.

MACs-Tray is UL Approved
|
MACs-Tray™ wire cable tray is now UL approved. MACs-TrayTM has been tested and approved by Underwriters’ Laboratories for use as an equipment ground conductor. The tests were conducted with two different bolted splice connections: GC-Splice Kits and also with the GC-USB with the appropriate hardware.
Since suitability as an equipment ground conductor is based on the cross-sectional area of the wires, anytime wires are cut or removed for field fabrication, MACs-Tray™ requires the use of a UL listed split bolt connector to connect a properly sized, continuous ground conductor to each section of the tray (i.e., bonding jumpers).
MACs-TrayTM must be grounded and bonded as required by NEC for power, data, and communication applications. It is the recommended practice to ground all cable tray systems. |

Grounding and Bonding
MACs-TRAYTM Wire Basket Cable Tray must be grounded and bonded as required by NEC Article 250 for power, data, and communication applications. Gulf Coast Systems recommends using a U.L. listed split bolt connector to connect a properly sized ground conductor to the tray.
The use of the Splice Washer or Splice Bar Kits are required for the UL classification as a ground equipment conductor. Quantities are specified for the appropriate width of MACs-TRAYTM in the Splice Washer and Splice Bar Matrices.
When MACs-TRAYTM is used as a ground equipment conductor, bonding jumpers are recommended. A properly sized ground conductor should be attached to the MACs-TrayTM using a U.L. listed split bolt connector.

Installation Guides
At Gulf Coast Systems, our goal is simple: to design and build good products that are easy to use in the field.
As a manufacturer of cable management products, we have an intense focus on the installers' needs for both products and information. We've put all of our technical skills into this one key area: what does the contractor need to get the job done right.
The bottom line is - good products that are easy to install and real world tech support mean lower installed costs on your next project.
How to Use the Installation Guide
The versatility of the J-TrayTM system wire cable tray comes from its ability to mount directly to a wall surface or hang in the ceiling without the need for additional supports and mounting brackets.
The versatility of MACs-TrayTM wire cable tray comes from its ability to change direction or elevation with simple field fabrication.
This Installation Guide will assist the installer in deciding on how to use cutting patterns to achieve maximum flexibility in field fabrication. Hardware selection and located for many different applications are also outlined.
Gulf Coast Systems believes in a common sense approach to installing all of its cable management products in the field. With this installation guide, Gulf Coast Systems has "boiled down" the most common techniques contractors should know to maximize flexbility of Wire Cable Tray Systems.
